Directed by Kookie Gulati, The Big Bull is a biographical crime film based on the life of stockbroker Harshad Mehta and how he manipulated the stock market through various loopholes he found in the system for a period of 10 years until his doings were brought to light in 1992. Scam 1922, a web series starring Pratik Gandhi in the lead role was released last year and based on Harshad Metha as well. This time around we will get to witness Abishek Bachchan play the titular character in The Big Bull.

The trailer for the film was recently released and it’s nice to see Bachchan in form. From the looks of the trailer, we can say that this film looks very promising. Abishek’s role in The Big Bull also reminded us of his role in Guru, it has similar feels to this upcoming film. We’re excited to see the actor essay the rags to riches story. Ileana D’Cruz is all set to play the role of a journalist that will try and uncover Mr Mehta’s scam and it looks like a strong and bold role.

While there will definitely be comparisons to the web-series we are excited to see Abishek put his unique spin on the film and try and do justice to it.

It was even nice to see a friendly exchange between the director of Scam 1992 and Jr. Bachchan.

Nikita Dutta and Ileana D’Cruz are all set to play supporting roles in this upcoming film which is all set to premiere on Disney+ Hotstar on April 8 at 7 PM.
