Darshan Fans Are Allowed To Scream With Excitement; Roberrt Is Totally Worth The Hype

Written and directed by Chowka fame Tharun Sudhir, Roberrt features Challenging Star Darshan in the titular role and is ably supported by Jagapathi Babu, Ravi Kishan, Asha Bhat, Devaraj, P Ravi Shankar, Vinod Prabhakar, Avinash, Sonal Monteiro, Chikkanna, Shivaraj K R Pete, Jason D’Souza, Tejaswini Prakash, Aishwarya Prasad, and Chandu B Gowda in prominent roles. The music of Roberrt is composed by Arjun Janya and the background score is rendered by V.Harikrishna. The camera work is headed by Sudhakarr S Raj and the movie is edited by K M Prakash. Bankrolled by Umapathy Srinivasa Gowda under Umapathy Films banner, the movie is releasing simultaneously in Kannada and Telugu languages today. Let us see what is in store for the audience watching Roberrt.

The story has the required punch

Raghava (Darshan), an obedient and peace-loving person works as a cook at a catering service based out of Lucknow. They supply south Indian food for funeral ceremonies. Arjun, Raghava’s son is a complete contrast to him. He gets entangled with a dreadful gangster. To save his son, Raghava is forced to showcase his original character. Who is Raghava and what is his past forms the crux of Roberrt.

It is Darshan all the way – from Raghava to Roberrt

Just like how Basha was for Rajinikanth, Roberrt is for Darshan. Roberrt followed the same pattern as Basha and was successful in keeping the audience glued to their seats. Darshan excelled in all crafts of acting and has single-handedly carried the movie on his shoulders. Asha Bhat makes an impressive debut and is something to watch out for. Vinod Prabhakar gave his career-best performance. The baddies, Ravi Kishan, Jagapathi Babu, and P Ravi Shankar do complete justice to their roles. Chikkana and Shivaraj provide the much-needed laughter.

Tharun and Darshan combination strike gold

Director Tharun Kishore Sudhir and Darshan join hands for the first time and strike a chord. Tharun knew exactly what to expect from Darshan and delivered the best he could. While the story is decades old, he was able to make the audience look up and enjoy his narration. Arjun Janya’s music and Harikrishna’s background score are a huge plus. They create the desired impact. Sudhakar Raj’s visuals are noteworthy. Editing could have been better and production values are excellent.

Roberrt is a feast for Darshan fans. While it had to be released a year back, Roberrt is worth the wait. Tharun Kishore Sudhir succeeded in narrating a story that was told several times in the past. It has all the commercial elements that a moviegoer would expect.
