‘Thattathin Marayathu’ (2012)

In this romantic film directed by Vineeth Sreenivasan, Pauly plays Vinod, a young man who falls in love with a Muslim girl, Aisha. He’s exceptional as the young, dynamic Vinod.

‘1983’ (2014)

Rameshan, who once dreamt of becoming a cricketer, goes out of his way to help his son who dreams of the same thing. Nivin Pauly as Rameshan is a treat to watch, combining the mannerisms of a typical villager, emotions of a cricket aspirant and the feelings of a father. Pauly received the Kerala State Film Award for best actor for the film.

‘Bangalore Days’ (2014)

The film revolves around three cousins, Divya, Aju and Kuttan. They are very close to each other and each of their lives take an unexpected turn when they start living in Bangalore. Plays plays the role of Kuttan, a simple, village-bred young man who finds it hard to gel with the fast and modern life of Bangalore. He adores simplicity and is in search of a traditional girl.

‘Premam’ (2015)

‘Premam’ made Pauly a star. This coming-of-age romance is about George David and his love interests during three stages of life. He falls in love with Mary while in school, with his teacher Malar in college and with Celine who is almost eight years younger to him when he is 30. Pauly showcases the emotions of a heartbroken young lad with great intensity.

‘Moothon’ (2019)

‘Moothon’ (pictured above) follows Mulla, a young boy who is in search of his elder brother Akbar in Mumbai. He falls into the hands of Bhai, a local goon who primarily is into child trafficking and drugs. The movies shows Bhai’s early life in the city and how he is connected to Mulla. Nivin Pauly is spectacular as Bhai. It takes great guts to portray homosexuality on screen being such a big star and he does it smoothly.
