Prithviraj Sukumaran’s next ‘Kuruthi’ is releasing on August 11, 2021 on Amazon Prime Video. Here are some interesting things you need to know about the upcoming film:
An interesting socio-political drama
‘Kuruthi’ is a socio-political drama featuring Prithvi in the lead, supported by talented artists like Roshan Mathew, Srindaa, Murali Gopy, Shine Tom Chacko and Mamukkoya. From the teaser and trailer, the film looks extremely interesting with dialogues that pack a punch.
From the house of Prithviraj Productions
‘Kuruthi’ is produced by Supriya Menon, Prithviraj’s wife under the banner ‘Prithviraj Productions’. Considering the production house’s previous titles, it is certain that they fund only films that they feel are captivating and would also bring the audience back to the theatres. So we can assume that ‘Kuruthi’ also would be an engrossing entertainer.
Manu Warrier’s Mollywood debut
Manu Warrier may not be a familiar name to the Malayalee audience, but the filmmaker has tried his luck in other industries. His debut in Bollywood was titled ‘Coffee Bloom’, which premiered at the MAMI Film Festival. His next was the TV miniseries ‘Yudh’ starring Amitabh Bachchan. Both projects received positive reviews from critics.
Mamukkoya in a serious role
We all know Mamukkoya as that funny guy with the Kozhikodan slang who makes you laugh until your stomach hurts. He hasn’t been very active off late but his previous outings all had him portray some serious roles. In ‘Kuruthi’ too, you can see him essaying a role that is both serious as well as captivating.
Prithviraj and Roshan together
Roshan Mathew has been creating noise with his recent performances. He has previously acted along with top-notch actors like Nivin Pauly and Fahadh Faasil and this time, he unites with Prithviraj after ‘Koode’. We are sure both the actors have given stunning performances in ‘Kuruthi’ as well.
