No matter how much you wish for a private, intimate event, even a small Indian wedding will involve at least 500 people with the festivities going steady for a whole week. Both critics and our users believe that these movies, which have released since 2015, are the absolute best! 1. Badrinath Ki Dulhania

Sequel to Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania (2014), this stand-alone movie brings back Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt as a couple. Here he plays a Jhansi boy who decides to stand up against his family to support his partner’s ambitions before they eventually get married.

2. Shadaa

Diljit Dosanjh stars in this Punjabi rom-com as happy-go-lucky man whose parents are tired of searching for an eligible bride for him. As fate has it, he falls in love with a girl at first sight, but soon realizes that it would not work as both of them come from two different worlds.

3. Crazy Rich Asians

This Hollywood rom-com follows a native New Yorker as she accompanies her boyfriend Nick to his best friend’s wedding in Singapore. However, she soon finds out that Nick belongs to one of the country’s wealthiest families, putting her in the spotlight for the coming weeks.

4. Geetha Govindam

This Telugu rom-com stars Vijay Deverakonda as Govind who falls in love with Geetha (played by Rashmika Mandanna) but the latter doesn’t reciprocate his love as she thinks of him as a womanizer. To woo her, he taps into the mood of the wedding happening around them.

5. Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety

This rom-com follows the wedding preparations of Titu and Sweety, who are in love. The only one who stands between them is Titu’s childhood friend Sonu (played by Kartik Aaryan), who does not trust Sweety and must do what it takes to protect Titu from her willful ways.

6. My Big Fat Greek Wedding 2

Sequel to one of the most iconic wedding movies in Hollywood, this rom-com revolves around Toula and Ian who spend most of their time focusing on their troubled teenage daughter, while having to deal with yet another Greek wedding – this time even bigger and fatter.

7. Manmarziyaan

This romantic drama follows the story of Rumi (played by Taapsee Pannu) who finds herself caught up in a complicated love triangle involving her impulsive yet irresponsible boyfriend (Vicky Kaushal) and her self-possessed fiancé (Abhishek Bachchan).

8. Carry on Jatta 2

This Punjabi rom-com picks up the fun where Carry on Jatta (2012) ends. The story follows Jass (played by Gippy Grewal), who realizes that marrying an NRI could be his only way of going to Canada. But when he’s introduced to Meet (Sonam Bajwa), sparks begin to fly.

9. Tanu Weds Manu Returns

The sequel to Tanu Weds Manu (2011) follows the couple (Madhavan and Kangana Ranaut) four years after their marriage. Tanu leaves Manu, who then meets her lookalike and falls in love. Just when he is about to be married, there comes a twist that will change his life forever.

10. Srinivasa Kalyanam 

This Telugu romantic drama showcases the sacred bond of marriage through nuptial rituals and highlights the sanctity of the institution. It follows Srinivas (played by Nithiin) and Sridevi (Raashi Khanna) who are about to be married, but suffer a setback due to some differences.
