Rishabh Shetty’s Hero Is Bloody Stylish And A Fantastic Dark Comedy

Featuring Rishab Shetty and Ganavi Laxman in lead roles, Hero is directed by debutante M Bharath Raj. He has also written the script along with Anirudh Mahesh, Nithesh Nanjundaradhya, Trilok Trivikrama, and Rishab Shetty. Also featuring Pramod Shetty, Manjunath Gowda, and others, the music and background score is composed by B Ajaneesh Loknath while the cinematography is handled by Arvind S S Kashyap. The editing for Hero is done by Pratheek Shetty and the movie is bankrolled by Rishab Shetty Films. Let us see what is in store for the audience watching Hero.

Hero is a dark comedy filled with engaging elements

A hairdresser (Rishabh Shetty) by profession, the protagonist re-enters into his ex-girlfriend’s (Ganavi Laxman) life who dumped him and got married to a gangster. While he hatches a plan to finish her off, he changes his mind after seeing her situation and decides to help her cover the wrong deeds. How they together come out of the mess they got into forms the rest of Hero.

Rishab Shetty proves his versatility in acting

Rishabh Shetty comes out of his comfort zone and delivers a riveting performance. Hero establishes him as a versatile actor who can enact with his eyes. Ganavi Laxman is a treat to watch. She has the beauty amalgamated with nice acting. In one way, her character is the conflict point of the story and takes it forward. Pramod Shetty and Manjunath Gowda were pitch perfect as lead antagonists and the rest of the cast were apt in their respective roles.

Debutante director hits the right chord

Debutante M Bharat Raj couldn’t have asked for anything better than this. He has shown maturity in direction with his debut movie and is here to tell many more stories. B. Ajaneesh Loknath’s music and background score is a treat to ears and elevates the movie to the next level. Arvind Kashyap’s visuals are intriguing, giving a new feel to the movie. Editing could have been much crisper and production values are great. The whole movie is set in a mansion at Chikkamangalore and the beautiful locales are well captured.

Hero is an amazing fun ride that is very stylishly made. Debutante director Bharat is certainly a new find to the Kannada Industry. The movie encapsulates an array of interesting elements and is a recommended watch. However, dark comedy and violence may not gel well with a certain section of the audience.
