Remo: Film Review – Anything For Love

Verdict: A cute love story filled with humor and emotions.

The Telugu version of Remo is a dubbed Tamil movie of the same name, which released last month. It marks the debut of the director Bakkiyaraj Kannan and is Siva Karthikeyan’s first movie in Telugu as a lead actor. There is enough grapevine surrounding this flick as it has Keerthi Suresh playing the lead actress. It got a good release as it is being presented by none other than “Dil” Raju, a name to reckon with in Telugu film industry. Let’s see if it is able to reach the Telugu audience like it did in Tamil.

Siva Karthikeyan (Siva Karthikeyan aka SK/Regina Motwani aka Remo) is a happy-go-lucky guy who stays with his widowed mother (Saranya). He aims to make it big in the film industry as a hero and goes to meet director K.S.Ravikumar for an audition. On his way back, he comes across Dr. Kavya (Keerthi Suresh) and falls in love with her at first sight. He wishes to visit her home and propose to her but comes to know that she is engaged to Dr. Vishwa (Anson Paul). In the meanwhile, he convinces director K.S.Ravikumar that he will appraise the role of a nurse that the director is looking for. He gets a makeover as a nurse and boards a bus where one of a miscreant misbehaves with him. Kavya also happens to board the same bus and comes to nurse Remo’s rescue. They meet together and get along well and tells Remo to come to her hospital for a job. Will Remo get the job as a nurse? Will he be able to win his lady love? Will Kavya come to know the real identity of Remo? To know all these, watch Remo at a theatre near you.

Remo Teugu Film Review - BookMyShow

Siva Karthikeyan excelled in both the characters that he has enacted in the form of SK and Remo. His makeover as Remo is too good. Huge credit needs to be given to the make-up man. Keerthi Suresh is adorable as Kavya and for sure, she has a great future in Telugu film industry. The whole movie revolves around this lead pair. Saranya, as Remo’s mom, is good. Satish, as S.K’s friend, did a commendable job. Rest of the cast appraised their roles to perfection.

Written and directed by Bakkiyaraj Kannan, he has chosen a cute love story as his debut venture and is successful in executing it to finesse. Cinematography by P.C.SreeramSathyan Sooryan and M.S.Vivekanand is very good. Music and background score by Anirudh Ravichander are fantastic. It gels well with the story and narration.

Why You Should Watch This Movie:

You should watch “Remo” for the beautiful chemistry between Siva Karthikeyan and Keerthi Suresh. Overall, it is a cute love story that has its own moments.
