Written and directed by Ugandar Muni, A – Ad Infinitum features Nithin Prasana and Preethi Asrani in lead roles While the casting is new, it is interesting to note that PVR pictures are releasing this movie nationwide. Billed to be a thriller that was never witnessed before, the movie comes with a caption – “Sometimes facts are stranger than fiction”. Bankrolled by Geetha Minsala under Avanthika Productions banner, the music is composed by Vijay Kurakula, and sound mixing is done by National award winner Sinoy Joseph. Nithin Prasanna packs a punch
Newcomer Nithin Prasanna has given an astounding performance in the roles of Ashwatthama, Sanjeev, and Arjun. The way he fitted into these characters will keep you wondering if he is really a first-timer. He got into the skin of every character and delivered an impeccable performance. Preethi Asrani surprised us with her elegance and suited the character to the tee. Most of the movie runs around the 3 characters played by Nithin Prasana and the rest of the casting were apt in their respective roles.
A: Ad Infinitum will amaze you with its screenplay
Ugandar Muni has nailed it with his unique pattern of story telling and the screenplay will keep you thinking. A story spanning across 4 decades, Ugandar has written an intelligently woven script and knew exactly what he was doing. The way all the scenes spanning Nithin’s character across 3 generations is captivating to the core. Vijay Kurakula’s music is a major plus and the background score is befitting. Praveen K Bangari’s camera work is unbelievable and keeps you thinking of how one can come with a solid product under a shoestring budget.
WATCH OR NOT
A: Ad Infinitum is not a typical story that you get to see and is one of its kind. The screenplay is something that is never seen before in any kind of cinema and will leave you amazed. While it will critically be acclaimed, one may not be sure of how it would gel with audiences who are not used to unconventional storytelling.
