Fidaa: Film Review – A Breezy Love Story

Verdict: Sai Pallavi shines in this super cool love story.

Fidaa, starring Varun Tej and Sai Pallavi in lead roles, is written and directed by Sekhar Kammula and produced by Dil Raju under the banner Sri Venkateswara Creations. Sai Pallavi, who received a lot of praise for her role as Malar in Malayalam movie Premam is making her debut with Fidaa in Telugu. This also marks the first time combination for Varun Tej, Dil Raju and Sekhar Kammula. Varun Tej and Sekhar Kammula didn't have luck with their previous movies. Will Fidaa break the jinx? Let's see.

Varun (Varun Tej) stays with his two brothers in America. He convinces his elder brother to get married and fixes a match with a girl from a village in Telangana. Bhanumati (Sai Pallavi) is the younger sister of the girl who gets married to Varun’s brother. In the course of marriage events, Bhanumati and Varun get closer. But due to a small misunderstanding, Bhanumati keeps Varun away from her life. How they meet again and clear their misunderstanding forms the rest of the story. In one line, this is Sekhar Kammula’s love-hate-love story.

Varun Tej has evolved as an actor and has given a subtle, real performance as an NRI doctor. Sai Pallavi makes a very impressive debut with Fidaa as a Telangana village girl, who is strong-willed, with a very strong mindset. She is very beautiful and homely to the core and is a visual treat to see her dance on the screen. Telugu film industry is gifted with the entry of Sai Pallavi, a girl with beauty and talent. Satyam Rajesh as Varun’s family friend is hilarious in his act. The rest of the cast fits the bill.

Fida Film Review
Sekhar Kammula delivered what he is best at. He was extremely successful in getting the right chemistry between the lead pair and there was never a boring moment in this love-hate-love story he has narrated to the audience. Sekhar Kammula must be commended for getting the Telangana sensibilities on screen as realistic as possible. The music by Shakti Kanth and cinematography by Vijay C Kumar, gel well with the direction of Sekhar Kammula. They together were successful in entertaining the audience with a very feel good love story. Editing by Marthand.K.Venkatesh is great. With a run time of 140 minutes, we get to see the ups and downs of a beautiful love story.

Why You Should Watch This Movie:
You will love this movie if you are a fan of Sekhar Kammula movies. Varun Tej is back with a bang and Sai Pallavi is set to make it big in Telugu film industry. Go for it this weekend.

At the end of the first episode of season three, Siobhan (Sarah Snook) makes a snap decision in the car and tells the driver to reroute.
