By BMS Editor24 February, 2017 2 min read

Verdict: Definitely a Winner at the box-office.
Winner starring Sai Dharam Tej and Rakul Preet Singh is directed by Gopichand Malineni and produced by Nallamalupu Bujji and Tagore Madhu under Sri Lakshmi Narsimha Productions and Leo Productions. This is the first movie opposite each other for Sai Dharam Tej and Rakul Preet Singh. It also marks the debut combination for the hero and director. Touted to be a commercial mass entertainer, let’s see if the team has delivered what is expected from them.
Mahender Reddy (Jagapathi Babu) marries his lady love against the wishes of his father Mukesh Rishi and leaves his huge property and stays separately. He has a son Sidharth Reddy (Sai Dharam Tej). Sidhu loses his mom at a young age and shares an intimate bond with his father. Notwithstanding the love between them, Mukesh Rishi decides to get back his son and succeeds in creating a drift between the father and son. Due to the differences between them that are caused by misunderstandings, Sidharth runs away from his grandfather’s home without informing them when he is a teenager. Sidharth grows up to become a creative designer and falls in love with Sitara (Rakul Preet Singh) at first sight. Apart from Sidharth's and Sitara's love story, Winner portrays the story of relationships between the fathers and their sons, and the misunderstandings between them.

Winner Film Review - BookMyShow
This is Sai Dharam Tej’s sixth flick and he has excelled in all departments of acting. He scored big in all the action episodes involving horse racing and also made an impressive mark in comedy timing and dance moves. Rakul Preet Singh is extremely glamorous and the chemistry between the lead pair is excellent. Jagapathi Babu is the major highlight of Winner and is fabulous as the father. Mukesh Rishi and Ajay Thakur excelled in the roles of antagonists. Prithvi as Singam Sujatha did wonders in the first half. Ali as Horseman Babu and Peter Heins bought variation in both shades of his roles. Anasuya Bharadwaj did a cameo and is beautiful in the first song. Venella Kishore is apt in his role as Sidhu’s assistant.
Gopichand Mallineni did extremely well in the direction department and his screenplay is in tune with the psyche of the Telugu audience. He has succeeded in getting all the commercial elements right and played a safe game with Winner. S.S. Thaman has given wonderful music and has utilized the opportunity to deliver a background score that has ample scope for playing around. Photography by Chota.K.Naidu is top notch.

Why You Should Watch This Movie:

Winner has all the ingredients required for an entertaining movie that a common audience hopes for. Don’t miss this Winner at the box-office.
