Seven years after the first movie, the sequel to Gnomeo & Juliet is finally here! An animated comedy by Kelly Asbury, the film revived the story of Romeo and Juliet in the most adorable way ever. Now, the gnomes are back! Sherlock Gnomes has been directed by John Stevenson and will explore the lives of the gnomes in a new neighborhood. What’s more? Arthur Conan Doyle’s popular characters will also be a part of this madness. Gnomeo – James McAvoy
Popular for his role of the young Professor Charles Xavier in the X-Men series as well as his brilliant performance in M. Night Shyamalan's Split, McAvoy will reprise his lead role of Gnomeo.
Juliet – Emily Blunt
Blunt, too, will return in her lead role of Juliet. This is an exciting year for the actress, who will also be seen playing lead roles in A Quiet Place and Mary Poppins Returns.
Sherlock Gnomes – Johnny Depp
New to the cast is the veteran actor Depp, who will play the famous detective. From the trailer, it seems that Depp’s character will be stealing this movie from Gnomeo and Juliet.
Gnome Watson – Chiwetel Ejiofor
Sherlock is incomplete without Watson. This character is voiced by Ejiofor, who is best known for his Oscar-winning role in 12 Years a Slave.
Irene Adler – Mary J. Blige
One of the Sherlock favorites, Adler will also be a part of this fun mix and voicing her is singer Mary J. Blige, who makes a debut in an animated film.
Lady Blueberry – Maggie Smith
Popular for her roles of Professor McGonagall in the Harry Potter series and Dowager Countess in Downton Abbey, the Dame will reprise her role as the leader of the blue gnomes.
Lord Redbrick – Michael Caine
Meanwhile, the leader of the blue gnomes and Juliet's overprotective widower father will be played by Caine, best known for working with director Christopher Nolan.
