Spreading Cool Vibes In Hot May

The magazine covers are popping with soothing colors and spreading the cool vibes this hot, hot month of May so desperately needs. It is a cray-cray month, and it is like the magazines have taken it upon themselves to stop the insane heat waves from spoiling our mood.

Blue is definitely the color everyone has agreed upon. There are shades of sky blue mixed with shades of grey and black. Red and pink make an appearance too in pretty hues. A lovely bunch that reminds you of the soothing minus the sharp rays of the sweltering sun.

Here are the May covers.

We love Fawad Khan‘s casual look in the quintessential summer basics – blue and white, only reversed. His broody bread and tousled hair are only adding to his boyish charm. Hi! Blitz gets a big thumbs up!

Anushka Sharma on the cover of Vogue India is a sight to behold. She’s carrying off the sheer with style. We love the outfit, which covers the co-ord, and the long, long Asian-type braid.

Harper’s Bazaar Bride is marrying the traditional with boho-chic quite well. Sonakshi Sinha looks perfect. The pairing of minimal accessories and plain shirt with the zari-gotta ladened red lehenga does the trick. Some major #bridestylegoals here.

L’Officiel has gone with a lovely shade of blue and nude gladiators. The top knot bun on Lisa Haydon just adds a little bit of drama to the black and white Zebra-like background.

With Filmfare, Parineeti Chopra is showing us how to look glamorous on the beach. Her light make-up with wind-swept hair looks great.

Ranveer Singh looks like the superstar he is on the cover of Filmfare. The monochrome theme is broken with a dash of blue and adds to the cover’s appeal.

Red hot with a deep neck that is sexy as hell. GQ is asking, "How hot is Shruti Haasan!", and we can only say, "Damn, girl!"

Sidharth Malhotra is rocking a grey casual suit on the cover of The Juice. We love the magazine’s spunky look and loving the green-grey contrast.

Doesn’t summer look nice?

Audiences Hail Karnan As A Masterpiece In Tamil Cinema

It’s finally here! ‘Karnan‘ starring Dhanush and directed by Mari Selvaraj has hit the theatres today. Touted to be one of biggest social dramas of the year, the film has been gaining much hype with its poster releases, music videos and the powerful trailer. Karnan also stars Malayalam actor Rajisha Vijaya who makes her Tamil debut with this film, alongside other actors such as Lakshmipriya Chandramouli, Gouri Kishen, Lal, and Yogi Babu in important roles. The cinematography has been handled by Theni Easwaran. Mari Selvaraj gained huge prominence for his grating caste drama ‘Pariyerum Perumal‘ which stunned audiences and critics for its open narration of the horror of the caste divide in society. This time around, the director once again sets the story in the rural milieu with Dhanush playing the titular role and a saviour-like figure of the masses. The audiences have spoken and the reviews are nothing short of stupendous.
