Actor Taapsee Pannu has completed her athletic training for Rashmi Rocket. The actress had begun shooting for the film in the month of November while she continued to train side by side for the role of a sprinter.
Today, Taapsee shared a video of herself undergoing this intense grueling training and physical transformation that completely drained her but she did not stop her training sessions. She shared what went behind in achieving this perfect athletic body. “As I finish the last athletic training today for #RashmiRocket here’s the journey I was waiting to share with you all.” she wrote on Instagram on Wednesday, December 16. “Or rather a glimpse of it.
If it makes you curious then the transformation was worth it 🙂 The full journey tomorrow,” she added.

The film was announced by Ronnie Screwvala’s RSVP Movies in March 2019 and it has been a long wait since then due to the global pandemic. Embracing the new normal, it is one of the very few films to successfully start the shoot during covid times following all the necessary guidelines.
Set in the salt marshes of Kutch, Rashmi Rocket is about a young girl from a village, blessed with a gift. She’s an incredibly fast runner. The village fondly knows her as Rocket. When she gets a chance to showcase her talent professionally, she jumps at the opportunity, only to realize that the race to the finish line is peppered with many hurdles, and what seems like an athletic contest turns into her personal battle for respect, honour, and even her very identity.
The film stars Taapsee Pannu in the lead role. Rashmi Rocket is written by Nanda Periyasamy, Aniruddha Guha, and Kanika Dhillon. The film will be helmed by Akarsh Khurana who directed Karwaan.
Rashmi Rocket, produced by Ronnie Screwvala along with Neha Anand and Pranjal Khandhdiya is set to release in 2021.
