Within a few weeks of theatres opening up their doors with regimented safety protocols in place, a host of Tamil films have made their way to the silver screen to entertain audiences. This week, three releases Alti, Kanni Rasi and Yen Peyar Ananthan have hit the cinemas across Tamil Nadu and here’s how they are faring.

In Alti, a man and his friends who steal mobile phones for a living get embroiled in a sticky predicament with an MLA and are targeted by the police. The movie has Anbhu Mayilsami, Manisha Jith, and Sendrayan in lead roles. The soundtrack was composed by Srikanth Deva. The movie produced by M Sheik Mohammed under the banner NSR Film Factory.

Kanni Rasi
Kanni Rasi is a romantic entertainer that deals with the members of a joint family, who encourages only love marriages and have a tough time convincing their youngest member to fall in love. The film stars Vimal and Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, with Pandiarajan, Yogi Babu, Kaali Venkat and Robo Shankar others in supporting roles.

Yen Peyar Ananthan
Yen Peyar Ananthan is a thriller that deals with an upcoming film director who gets kidnapped on the day of the shoot and the events that follow. Yen Peyar Anandhan stars Santhosh Prathap and Athulya Ravi in the lead roles. While Alti and Kanni Rasi received lukewarm responses from the critics, both have struck a favorable chord with many theatre patrons. Yen Peyar Ananthan on the other hand has been appreciated by critics and audiences alike for its interesting premise.
