Following the aftermath of the Covid pandemic, the cinemas in Tamil Nadu have finally opened their doors under the new social protocols rules set by the government. In this capacity, the first film to hit the screens directly for its premiere is the Santhanam starrer Biskoth which has witnessed a successful run so far. The audiences who have been severely denied their trips to the multiplexes are thrilled to be able to get the opportunity to see their stars on the big screen after many months. While critics have not given the film a great review, the public opinion seems to be very positive for this film.
A lighthearted entertainer
Biskoth deals with the son of a biscuit maker who grows up as a worker in the company that his dead father founded. One day, a guardian angel walks into his life and tells him stories that change him for the better. Taking inspiration from the 2008 Adam Sandler movie Bedtime Stories, director Kannan comes up with an Indianised Bedtime story with Biskoth. The film also stars Tara Alisha Berry and Swathi Muppala as the two female leads with veteran actor Sowkar Janaki also playing a pivotal role in her 400th film. Santhanam who is in his strong element with comedy is said to have done a solid job with his character.
