Where is The Devi (L)?

Prabhu Deva is clearly the king of dance. Apart from his exemplary dancing skills, Prabhu Deva is also a popular actor and director. He has won the attention of the Tamil audience with his films Mr. Romeo and Kadhalan. This is why the news of the actor’s return on the big screen is making headlines. Director A. L. Vijay had announced that he would be directing Prabhu Deva in his upcoming film. And fans of the actor rejoiced, as the film is said to release in Telugu, Tamil and Hindi. Not just that, Baahubali’s princess, Avanthika a.k.a Tamannaah, plays the female lead in this film. Titled Abhinetri in Telugu and Devi (L) in Tamil, the film is said to be a horror comedy. The first-look posters show Tamannaah dressed in a simple traditional avatar carrying Prabhu Deva with ease. Is she super-human or does she possess supernatural powers? We have to wait and find out.

If you’re following Tollywood and Kollywood news then you must be aware that horror-comedies are the toast of the season. They are funny, mildly scary and are a treat for those who like masala entertainers. Hollywood writer Paul Aaron has worked on the script. Choreographer Farah Khan is said to make a cameo in this film. The teaser of the film was also unveiled recently. It featured Amy Jackson and Prabhu Deva dancong to the music of Sajid-Wajid. Although it did look like fun, the teaser was a little disappointing as it didn’t feature Tamannaah or give any hints whether this will be a horror film. It would’ve been exciting to see the glimpse of the Devi (L) in the film. Let’s hope the trailer has all those elements. In the meanwhile, you can watch the teaser here:
