Post the lockdown, the first movie industry to revive and fall in line is undoubtedly the Telugu cinema. All the major movies that released after theatres opened like Solo Brathuke So Better, Krack, Master, Red and Alludu Adhurs are being embraced by the audience. RED featuring Ram in dual roles released yesterday and is being appreciated by one and all. Let’s peek into 5 reasons why RED should be watched in cinemas.
RED is a highly engaging movie
This investigative thriller is highly engaging and will keep the audience glued to their seats till the very end. This is probably a first of its kind genre for Ram Pothineni and director Kishore Tirumala and they came out with flying colors. The director succeeded in keeping the thrill factor intact and is being lapped by the audience.

Ram is at his energetic best
Ram Pothineni is at his energetic best in RED. While playing two contrasting characters, it gave ample scope for Ram to perform. He was at his best playing both the roles of Aditya and Siddhartha. His portrayal of Aditya has a striking resemblance to his iSmart Shankar character and has done it with elan. He looked classy in the role of Siddhartha.

The background score and cinematography suit the intense mood
Mani Sharma’s background score and Sameer Reddy’s visuals complemented RED in its entirety. Any investigative thriller will shine when these 2 crafts work well and that is precisely where RED scored all the brownie points.
All the leading ladies played it to perfection
Nivetha Pethuraj delivered an effective performance in the role of Yamini, a powerful cop. The director etched a solid character for her and she played it to perfection. Malavika Sharma was glamorous in the role of Deepika and her character gained importance in the latter half. Amritha Aiyer had a limited role as Anandi and played her part well
The whole movie is packaged well
RED as a whole is packaged well and comes in as the perfect retreat for cinephiles this Sankranti. Ram, who is riding high with his career’s best iSmart Shankar is refreshing to see him play dual roles with contrasting personalities. All the tug off scenes between them came out really well. The best part of RED is that it is highly entertaining and at the same time engaging, a rare combination of sorts in this genre.
