The most favorable season for Telugu movies to release in theatres is Sankranthi. For many years, we’ve seen multiple movies releasing this season and trying their luck at the box office. This year, Mass Maharaja Ravi Teja and Shruti Haasan starrer Krack is the first movie that was announced officially to release in Sankranthi.
Directed by Gopichand Maiineni and bankrolled by B Madhu, Krack also features Shruthi Haasan, Varalaxmi Sarathkumar and Samuthirakani in prominent roles. The movie is simultaneously being planned to release in Tamil as well. The music and background score for Krack is composed by S Thaman and cinematography is handled by GK Vishnu while Navin Nooli is the editor.

Krack happens to be Ravi Teja’s 66th movie in his career and his 3rd with Gopichand Malineni after Don Seenu and Balupu. The movie also marks the comeback of Shruti Haasan in Telugu. The last we saw her in a direct Telugu movie is Kaatamarayudu with Pawan Kalyan which was released in 2017.

The movie was earlier planned to release on May 8. However, due to the lockdown, the shoot was postponed for a few months and finally the unit have wrapped the entire shoot recently.

This is probably for the first time that Raviteja’s movie is releasing during Sankranthi season. With the theatres just opened, we will have to wait and see how the audiences will embrace this movie. The box office collections during this season might act as a benchmark for other producers to plan their biggies in the coming days.
