On the occasion of Victory Venkatesh’s 60th birthday, the makers of Narappa released a glimpse of their movie. Featuring Victory Venkatesh, Priyamani, Karthik Rathnam, Prakash Raj, Murali Sharma, Sampath Raj, Rao Ramesh and Rajeev Kanakala in prominent roles, Narappa is an official remake of Tamil Superhit movie Asuran, which is itself based on a novel titled Vekkai, written by Poomani.

Directed by Kotha Bangaru Lokam and Seethamma Vaakitlo Sirimalle Chettu fame Srikanth Addala, the glimpse of Narappa that was unveiled today is completely dedicated to Venkatesh. We get to see no one other than Venky in all ferocious looks one could imagine, in this fantastic 26-second glimpse. A versatile actor who brought life to several characters on screen, Narappa is yet another unique role that Venky is portraying in his 74 movies career spanning 34 years.

Bankrolled by Suresh Babu and Kalaipuli S Thanu, the music and background score is composed by Mani Sharma while the cinematography is composed by Shyam K Naidu. The movie showcases the challenges faced by Narappa and his family which were caused by a rich landlord. While Dhanush portrayed the main lead role in Asuran, Venkatesh seems to have reprised his role effortlessly from what we see in the glimpse and the earlier released publicity material.

The shooting of the movie is going on at a brisk pace and will be wrapped by early next year. The movie is set to release in theatres in summer 2021 and will be a special treat to all the fans of Venky. The last we saw Venkatesh in theatres was Venky Mama, where he shared the screen space with his nephew Naga Chaithanya.
