We Can Vouch For the Lead Pair’s Chemistry in Mr & Miss

Mr & Miss is a crowd-funded movie produced by Reading Lamp Creations and features Gnaneswari Kandregula and Sailesh Sunny in lead roles. The story and direction are handled by Ashok Reddy while the screenplay and dialogues are written by Sudheer Varma. The art department is headed by Karish Kumar and editing is done by Carthic Cuts. Siddam Manohar is the director of photography. The theatrical trailer has given us a hint of what the movie is all about. Filled with bold content, let us see its merits and demerits.

The content is bold and majorly for the youth

After being forced by his father, Shiva (Sailesh Sunny) reluctantly agrees to look for a job in a Software Company. He happens to meet Sasi (Gnaneswari Kandregula), an HR of a Software Company. Sasi promises to give him a job if he improves his English communication skills. Eventually, they happen to meet more and end up sharing an intimate relationship. A year later, they decide to call it quits. But things go crazy when Shiva loses his phone, which has videos of their intimate relation. The rest of the story is all about the struggles faced by this young couple in the process of finding the lost phone.

The debutantes do a decent job

The debutantes Gnaneswari Kandregula and Sailesh Sunny pull off their characters well and it doesn’t seem to be their first movie. The refreshing part of this movie is the chemistry they shared on-screen. Gnaneswari’s bold scenes might gel well with a section of the audience. The actor who played Shiva’s friend is the pick among the rest of the actors. He was successful in generating laughs, especially during the first half. The rest of the cast is adequate.

The off-screen talent is praiseworthy

Yahwanth Nag’s music and background score dominates the show and is a treat to ears. Situational songs came out really well and the background score carries the mood of the movie. Siddam Manohar’s camera work is great. The music and cinematography have given a grand look to this low budget flick. Editing is crisp and seemed a bit rushed to make it a 2-hour movie. Few of the scenes end abruptly. Production values are grand, thanks to the technical finesse. Ashok Reddy has chosen a bold script and did a fairly decent job. However, there is a large scope of improvement.

WATCH OR NOT

Mr & Miss is a romantic entertainer aimed at a youth audience. The movie begins on an interesting note and the first 30 minutes is thoroughly entertaining. Since the content is bold, this movie will not cater to all sections of the audience. You may watch it at your own discretion.
