The Ultimate Guide To The Biggest Hollywood Releases Of 2021

2020 took all of us by surprise and turned our worlds upside down. While we still got to watch some amazing content, we certainly missed the big screen for most of the year. However, we now see some light at the end of this tunnel for 2021 and we have some big movies to look forward to.


Director: Scott Cooper
Cast: Keri Russell, Jesse Plemons, Jeremy T. Thomas

This film revolves around a young boy named Lucas Weaver (Jeremy T. Thomas) who is harboring a supernatural creature inside his house. His school teacher and the local sheriff start getting concerned about Lucas when they start noticing strange occurrences. Currently, Antlers is scheduled to release on Feb 19.


Director: Daniel Espinosa
Cast: Jared Leto, Matt Smith, Adria Arjona, Jared Harris

This upcoming superhero film is based on a Marvel Comic character with the same name. Starring Jared Leto as Michael Morbius, this film revolves around Morbius who is suffering from a rare blood disease. In an attempt to get rid of his disease he tires a dangerous cure that turns him into a vampire. Morbius is slated to release on March 19.

No Time To Die

Director: Cary Joji Fukunaga
Cast: Daniel Craig, Rami Malek, Léa Seydoux, Lashana Lynch

This film is the 25th installment in the James Bond franchise. The story follows James Bond (Daniel Craig) who has left active service but is soon approached by Felix Leiter, his friend, and a CIA officer who asks him to help search for a missing scientist. Mark your calendars for April 2 as No Time To Die is slated to hit the big screens then.

A Quiet Place – Part II

Director: John Krasinski
Cast: Emily Blunt, Cillian Murphy, Millicent Simmonds,  John Krasinski.

This film is a sequel to A Quiet Place and picks up from where the last film left off. The Abbott family must continue to fight for survival in silence as they venture out into the unknown. They soon realize that these creatures that hunt by sound are not the only threats that lurk in the unknown. Get ready for A Quite Place II to hit the big screen on April 23.

Black Widow

Director: Cate Shortland
Cast: Scarlett Johansson, Florence Pugh, David Harbour, O-T Fagbenle, William Hurt, Ray Winstone, Rachel Weisz.

This highly-awaited film follows the events of Captain America: Civil War where Natasha Romanoff finds herself all alone. She must now confront her past which catches up to her and deal with dangerous conspiracy. Black Widow is all set to finally come to theatres on May 7.

Fast & Furious 9

Cast: Vin Diesel, Michelle Rodriguez, Tyrese Gibson, Chris “Ludacris” Bridges, John Cena
Jordana Brewster, Nathalie Emmanuel, Sung Kang, Helen Mirren, Charlize Theron

This is the 9th installment in the Fast & Furious franchise. This story follows Dominic Toretto (Vin Diesel) who along with his family must now face his younger brother Jakob, who has turned into a deadly assassin and is working with their old enemy Cipher. Fasten your seatbelts because F9 will come speeding in on May 28.

The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It

Director: Michael Chaves
Cast: Vera Farmiga, Patrick Wilson, Ruairi O’Connor

This film is a sequel to the 2013 and 2016 Conjuring films. We will get to see Patrick Wildon and Vera Farmiga reprise their roles as paranormal investigators. This film is based on the trial of Arne Cheyenne Johnson, a murder trial that took place in 1981. The plot follows a fight for a young boy’s soul and then takes the experienced paranormal investigators on an unexpected turn where they witness for the first time in US history a murder suspect who claimed demonic possession as a defense. The Conjuring 3 will hit the big screen on June 4.

Top Gun: Maverick

Cast: Tom Cruise, Jennifer Connelly, Jean Louisa Kelly
This film is a sequel to the 1986 Top Gun. It revolves around Pete “Maverick” Mitchell (Tom Cruise) who comes back to the place he belongs after over 30 years. Maverick now has to train a detachment of Top Gun graduates for a specialized mission that will push them beyond anything they could have dreamed or imagined. This film will release on July 2nd.

The Suicide Squad

Director: James Gunn
Cast: Viola Davis, Margot Robbie, Taika Waititi

This film is intended to be a reboot of the 2016 Suicide Squad film. In this film, we will see the imprisoned convicts from Task Force X sent on a mission to destroy an old laboratory prison that held political prisoners and conducted experiments. The Suicide Squad is set to hit the big screen on August 6th.

Cast: Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Teyonah Parris, Nathan Stewart-Jarrett

This 2021 film is a direct sequel to the 1992 film with the same name. The story revolves around a visual artist named Anthony McCoy who moves into a loft in Cabrini, a place that was once terrorized by a word-of-mouth ghost story about a supernatural killer. When Anthony gets to know about this story he begins to explore it which unknowingly opens a door to a complex past. Candyman is all set to release on August 27.


Director: Denis Villeneuve
Cast: ZendayaTimothée Chalamet, Rebecca Ferguson

This science-fiction film is based on a novel by Frank Herbert and follows Duke Leto Atreides who is entrusted to take care of the dangerous desert planet known as Dune which is the only source of the most valuable substance in the universe, ‘the spice’. Dune is all set to hit the big screen on October 01.

The Eternals

Director: Chloé Zhao
Cast: Angelina Jolie, Gemma Chan, Salma Hayek

This upcoming superhero movie is based on a Marvel comic with the same name. The story follows the events of Avengers: Endgame. The Eternals are an immortal alien race who have lived secretly on Earth for over 7000 years. They now reunite to protect Earth from their evil counterparts, the Deviants. Stay tuned as The Eternals is all set to release on November 05.

Mission: Impossible 7

Director: Christopher McQuarrie
Cast: Vanessa Kirby, Tom Cruise, Hayley Atwell

This film is the 7th installment in the Mission Impossible film series. This film will see Tom Cruise, Ving Rhames, Henry Czerny, Simon Pegg, Rebecca Ferguson, Venessa Kirby, Angela Bassett, and Frederick Schmidt reprise their roles from the previous films. We will also have Hayley Atwell, Pom Klementieff, Shea Whigham, and Esai Morales, who will join the franchise. Get ready for Tom Cruise to do the impossible on November 19.
