In our quiet moments, we have often wondered about the future. We see the future in the movies with all the cool technology or the bleak one where humanity is on the verge of extinction. The more scenarios we imagine, the more hopeful we are about the future and this year you will be introduced to plenty more futuristic stories. From a movie based on the novel Dune to another addition to the Godzilla franchise, there are many sci-fi movies to look forward to this year.

Outside the Wire

This Netflix movie that will be streaming from 15th January stars Anthony Mackie as an android officer who is on a mission to stop a nuclear attack.

Free Guy

Ryan Reynolds plays an NPC character called Guy in a video game who gains sentience and goes on an adventure of his own.

Dune

Dune by Frank Herbert is one of the most influential books in the genre, is known to inspire many other sci-fi movies, including Star Wars. This movie is the first part of a two-part adaptation of the book.

Godzilla vs Kong

Two of sci-fi’s most iconic monsters face off in this upcoming movie, a follow-up to both Kong: Skull Island and Godzilla: King of the Monsters.

Chaos Walking
