Aishwarya Lekshmi who stole our hearts with a spectacular performance in ‘Mayanadhi’ is gearing up for her next and this time it is a mythological horror thriller. The film titled Kumari is being directed by Nirmal Sahadev who made his debut through the Prithviraj starrer Ranam.

Kumari will feature Aishwarya Lekshmi in the titular role and will have elements of myth and horror that will keep the audience awake. The film will be produced by Giju John, Nirmal Sahadev, Jakes Bejoy and Sreejith Sarang under the banner The Fresh Lime Sodas and will have the Ranam crew uniting this time around as well – the music of the film will be composed by Jakes Bejoy, cinematography will be handled by Jigme Tenzing and editing will be done by Sreejith Sarang.
As per reports, the film is based on the story’s narrated by Nirmal’s mother and grandmother during his childhood. The team recently revealed the motion poster of Kumari which features a burning village, raging birds and a sarpakaavu with all its glory. Aishwarya Lekshmi is also seen clad in a saree holding a vintage lantern searching for something.

It will be refreshing to watch a female actor leading a horror film rather than being a ghostly presence. The rest of the cast is yet to be announced.
The motion poster indeed looks extremely eerie and creepy with its background score and the visuals. We are sure the film is going to give us sleepless nights with its spine-chilling visualisation and plot.We are looking forward to this one.
