After taking viewers on a journey through eight thrilling episodes in a galaxy far, far away, The Mandalorian season two came to an end. There’s a long wait ahead for the third instalment. In the meantime, we can ponder on these three things that we’ll probably see in the next set of episodes.
Baby Yoda returns
The question on every fan’s mind is: what happens to precious Baby Yoda? It’s unlikely Disney will exclude the show’s most beloved character. We’ll definitely see him in future episodes. While the first episodes of season three could focus on Mandalorian succession and the aftermath of Bo-Katan’s quest, the show could give Mando a reason to go looking for Grogu, following Luke’s trail and chasing him across the galaxy. Luke could also bring Grogu back to the bounty hunter if the little Jedi decided that he wanted to be with Mando.
More Boba Fett
Disney seems very interested in creating a Star Wars shared TV universe. The Book Of Boba Fett is scheduled to premier in December before The Mandalorian season three. A shared universe definitely needs to have crossovers between shows. Since the bounty hunter from the original series was featured prominently on The Mandalorian, there’s no reason Boba Fett couldn’t return for an episode in the third season of the show
The Darksaber is a black lightsaber and an artefact that decides the fate of Mandalore. Its wielder becomes the ruler of the Mandalorian people. Bo-Katan, a Mandalorian on a quest to claim her right to the Darksaber had enlisted Mando’s assistance in recovering it. In the season two finale, Bo-Katan stares at Mando as he holds the saber. Does this mean Mando and Bo-Katan are going to oppose each other in season three? It’s hard to say considering that Mando displays no real interest in keeping it.
