OTT is hot in India right now. In the last few years, streaming platforms like Netflix, Amazon Prime and others have churned out top notch content that is bringing about a paradigm shift in Indian entertainment. We’ve shortlisted 11 web series that have stood out, and must most certainly be on your watchlist in case you haven’t watched them already.


One of the most riveting police procedurals in recent times, Asur: Welcome To Your Dark Side follows a team of forensic experts as they chase a serial killer whose actions appear to be driven by Indian mythology. The show marked Arshad Warsi’s web series debut, who nailed his part as top CBI cop Dhananjay Rajpoot.

‘Criminal Justice’

The first season of Criminal Justice was an adaptation of BBC’s eponymous series, a gripping courtroom drama in which Aditya (Vikrant Massey), a college student and part-time cab driver, is falsely accused of a gruesome murder. He is represented in court by rookie lawyer Madhav Mishra, played by the brilliant Pankaj Tripathi. The Netflix series became the first Indian show to win an International Emmy. Watch it for powerful performances by Shefali Shah and Rasika Dugal, who play cops.

‘Made In Heaven’

The ten-part series takes us through the man’s rapid rise on Dalal Street as he exploits loopholes in the Indian system to build his empire, and the steep fall from grace that followed once his secrets started unraveling.
