The upcoming Disney+ series Moon Knight has cast Ethan Hawke. Oscar Isaac is attached to star as main character Marc Spector, a mercenary-turned-vigilante with dissociative identity disorder who gains superpowers after he becomes a conduit for an Egyptian moon god. Hawke’s career began in the mid ’80s, but in the 35 years since, he has avoided superhero movies. The Moon Knight series will be the actor’s comic book genre debut.
We don’t know for sure what role Hawke will actually be playing, but reports indicate that he’ll be playing the show’s main villain. Right now the internet is running wild with speculation as to which villain Hawke might play. Fans have been making art that suggests Hawke could play various roles. Moon Knight is unlikely to finish production until early 2022, but there are plenty of Marvel shows like WandaVision to tide people over until then.
