The 48th Internation Emmy Awards that were streamed live from New York on Monday, November 23 have gave given Indians much reason to cheer. The Netflix drama Delhi Crime, based on the heinous 2012 Delhi gang-rape aka Nirbhaya case took home the coveted Emmy for the Best Drama Series.
Created by Richie Mehta, Delhi Crime is a compelling, fast-paced drama that benefits from a talented, ensemble cast comprising Shefali Shah, Rasika Dugal, Rajesh Tailang, Adil Hussain, Denzil Smith, Jaya Bhattacharya and more.
Twitter was absolutely, and rightfully, delighted with the news and couldn’t keep calm. Especially Shefali Shah.
