The highly-anticipated Dexter revival has cast Clancy Brown as its villain. During its initial run (2006 to 2013), Dexter was one of the biggest shows on television. The series starred Michael C. Hall as a forensic blood spatter analyst living a double life as a serial killer to preys on the worst of humanity. Though it was well-received in the first few seasons, the show took a downturn in quality over the years before producing what many consider to be one of the worst series finales of all time. The finale had Dexter fake his death and flee to live as a lumberjack.
Clancy Brown was recently cast Kurt Caldwell, the unofficial mayor of the town Iron Lake. Kurt will be the main antagonist in the new season. He is described by TVline as someone who is more than meets the eye. Outwardly he’s a “true man of the people”, loved by all in his town. However, “should you cross Kurt, or hurt anyone that he cares for, God help you.”
Brown has played a number of well-known roles over the years, from Mr. Krabs on SpongeBob SquarePants to Captain Hadley in The Shawshank Redemption.
