You would think Disney and Pixar movies are only for children but we would be lying if we said we didn’t enjoy these movies too. Some of these movies have gone on to be so iconic that we can’t help but love not just the movies but also their characters. Disney and Pixar also know how to pull on people’s emotional strings and in this article, we want to talk about some of the most heart-breaking scenes these movies have given to us.

Up

This movie has the most heartbreaking four-minute montage that takes us through Carl and Elli’s life together – their marriage, their adventures, and even up to the time when Ellie dies. While the rest of the movie is fun and sweet, nothing can beat these four powerful minutes.

Every time we watch The Lion King, we can’t help but hate Scar. He not only killed Mufasa but also put the blame of his death on little Simba, which basically scarred the poor cub for life. Arrghh! Stupid Scar.

If you’ve watched Bambi, you know the real-tear jerker moment comes when a hunter shoots and kills Bambi’s mom. We can all agree that hunter is probably one of the worst Disney villains out there. Also, we have to blame Disney for always killing lovable characters.

Toy Story 3

In the scene where all the toys are heading into the incinerator and are holding hands as they wait for their fate is yet another heartbreaking Disney moment. But what is even more upsetting is the fact that Lotso betrayed them.

Inside Out

The filmmakers at Pixar at great at toying with our emotions and they have done it time and time again. Inside Out is no different. The film enables us to experience a wide range of emotions, thanks to all the emotions that are in the film. But the major tear-jerker is when Bing-Bong sacrifices himself for Riley’s happiness.
