Impeachment: American Crime Story has cast The Sopranos star, Edie Falco, as Hillary Clinton. From executive producer Ryan Murphy, the anthology crime series premiered in 2016 and tackled the events surrounding the O.J. Simpson trial. Continuing to tell stories of high profile crimes, season two focused on the assassination of Gianni Versace. Last year, it was announced that the third installment would tell the story of the Clinton-Lewinsky scandal from Monica Lewinsky’s point of view.
According to Deadline, Falco joins a stacked cast of talent, which includes Beanie Feldstein as Lewsinky, Sarah Paulson as Linda Tripp, Annaleigh Ashford as Paula Jones, and Betty Gilpin as political commentator, Ann Coulter. Falco herself is best known for playing mob wife Carmela Soprano in The Sopranos, a role that brought her six Emmy nominations. Impeachment: American Crime Story will likely drop to Netflix in 2021.
