Say what you will about the year that just went by, and we do have a lot of unprintable things to say, there’s no denying that when it came to entertainment, it was a good one. When everyone was stuck at home and Netflix and chill became a literal thing, streaming platforms ensured they rolled out quality content to keep you entertained and how!
The competition this year was pretty strong – from Hollywood A-listers such as Cate Blanchett, Mark Ruffalo and Gillian Anderson to new kids on the block Emma Corrin, Josh O’Connor and Anya Taylor-Joy. We at BookMyShow Buzz let the leaders pick the best performance in an International Web Series for 2020 via a public poll and they chose…drumroll…Josh O’Connor for his callous, self-serving and embittered portrayal of Prince Charles on season four of The Crown.
The poll comprised ten performances for web series’ including The Queen’s Gambit, The Mandalorian, Never Have I Ever, Mrs America and more. A total of 668 votes were received of which O’Connor emerged a clear winner followed closely by Cate Blanchett, Emma Corrin, Anya Taylor-Joy and Ramy Youssef.
