The Netflix original series Locke and Key has been renewed for season three ahead of its season two premiere. The show, based on Joe Hill and Gabriel Rodriguez’s comic book of the same name, follows the Locke family as they move into their deceased father’s ancestral home. Quickly after arriving, the children discover mysterious keys that can be used to open doors that lead them into supernatural realms. Locke and Key was renewed for season two in March, and began shooting in September.

Some have criticised the series for toning down a lot of the more shocking horror of its source material for a more kid-friendly story, the show was well received. With comparisons to blockbuster shows like Haunting Of Hill House and The Umbrella Academy, the show was a clear choice for renewal. Netflix has even greenlit a third season.

Locke and Key season two is set to premiere in 2021. Check out the cast’s announcement of season 3 below.
