Shortly after the 2020 Disney Investor Day, Marvel Studio head Kevin Feige had another announcement. He unveiled Marvel Studios: Legends, a show that will recap the individual character’s stories prior to phase four of the films and the TV lineup.
The series offers welcome new content for Marvel fans at at a time when production isn’t back to normal following the coronavirus pandemic. Since it primarily features existing footage from the films. It gives viewers a chance to relive the iconic moments from the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
According to Marvel’s website Marvel Studios: Legends is described as “a new series that will showcase individual characters viewers have come to know and love over the years and revisit some of their most iconic moments. Legends celebrates and codifies what has come before”. It will set the stage for Marvel’s TV line-up and provide a recap for those in need of a refresher. The show will drop Friday, January 8 on Disney+ Hotstar with two episodes focused on Wanda and Vision, acting as an introduction to WandaVision.
