A Netflix producer of a high profile series was found dead. Investigating authorities suspect homicide. Lin Qi, CEO of video game developer Yoozoo and a producer on the upcoming Netflix original series The Three-Body Problem, has died due to a suspected intentional poisoning. Qi was 39 and a producer on the series helmed by the makers of Game of Thrones, D.B. Weiss and David Benioff.
Authorities were contacted by the hospital to report the status of Lin Qi after doctors determined that the producer had been poisoned prior to his admission. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Qi was poisoned on December 16, allegedly over a dispute among executives of his company. Qi is said to have been poisoned by a cup of pu-erh tea. One of his coworkers has been arrested on suspicion of the crime.
