Actor Alan Ruck revealed that Succession season three will begin production this month. The show follows power plays of the financially wealthy, but morally bankrupt members of the Roy family, primarily between patriarch Logan Roy (Brian Cox), head of massive media conglomerate Waystar RoyCo and his children. The HBO series streaming on Disney+ Hotstar has been highly acclaimed for it’s sharp humour and compelling family drama. It was recently nominated for 12 Emmy Awards, winning seven. Fans of the series have been eagerly awaiting any news about season three, especially after the season two finale’s shocking ending which put Kendall Roy (Jeremy Strong) at odds with his father Logan once again and set up what is likely to be an all-out fight between the two.
Alan Ruck plays Connor Roy, the eldest son of the Roy family that no one can take seriously. The actor said that filming of Succession season three is scheduled to begin in New York in the middle of this month. Production of the show was set to begin in April, but was delayed indefinitely due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Series creator Jesse Armstrong stated that he hoped to start shooting the new episodes before Christmas of 2020, though he never specified a date. If the show does begin filming in mid-November, we should see a new season by late next year.
