Former US President Barack Obama picked The Boys as one of his top television shows of 2020.

The Boys showrunner Eric Kripke is stunned that Obama included his show on the list. The Amazon Prime original hit series had a rollercoaster second season in 2020. While it was already a bloody show with a dark sense of humour, the second season upped the ante. Not only did we see the Boys speed through the body of a live whale whale in a boat, but also evil Nazi superheroes, a young boy being tossed off a rooftop and many, many exploding heads. Fans of the show cannot get enough of its craziness. The Boys season two was one of the most shows of popular shows of 2020. However, given the unabashedly explicit nature of its content, even Kripke was surprised that it was a presidential pick.
