The popularity and demand for Indian and regional content has led to the mushrooming of dedicated OTT platforms. There’s already Hoichoi and Addatimes for Bengali content while Letsflix is an upcoming platform dedicated to all things Marathi. The latest to jump on the bandwagon is ReelDrama an OTT platform streaming Assamese films, web series and TV shows.
The brainchild of Sumit and Kuheli Dasgupta of the Hyderabad-based Reeldrama Production, ReelDrama’s goal is to introduce viewers to the culture of Assam via an array of contemporary and classic movies, original web series across different genres, music, comedy, cooking and devotional shows, and a dedicated entertainment section for kids. The platform is available for download on iOS, Android, Roku, Amazon Firestick and the Web, and aims to be available in 133 countries.
