6 Reasons Why We Watched A Lot Of SonyLIV This Year

One of the few good things this year has been the top notch quality of television. While we were locked down at home, streaming platforms delivered content that enriched our minds and made us forget, brief, the tough times we were passing through. One of the platforms that gave viewers a pleasant surprise was the newly revamped SonyLIV.

It transformed from being a platform that catered primarily to sports enthusiasts, into one that offered a slate of noteworthy content. In June 2020, SonyLIV entered the original content space with Your Honor, a crime thriller starring Jimmy Sheirgill. Soon after, a series of shows followed such as Undekhi, Avrodh, JL50 and Scam 1992, which has been one of the most popular shows of the year. Recently, the platform also began streaming an original sketch comedy series, Uncommon Sense with Saloni, featuring comedian Saloni Gaur.

Here’s a look at six SonyLIV shows we enjoyed in 2020.

‘Your Honor’

SonyLIV’s very first original was a thriller. The son of a reputed judge from Ludhiana is involved in a hit-and-run case. To save his family, Bishan Khosla, who is a righteous judge, must subvert the law and in doing so, begins to make some serious mistakes. Read our review here.
