Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK have confirmed that the second season of The Family Man will not release on Friday, February 12 as was scheduled earlier.
Earlier today, the director duo announced on Twitter that season two of the hit series will stream on Amazon Prime Video this summer, but didn’t mention a date.

Though neither Raj and DK nor Amazon have stated any reason for the postponement, speculation has been rife that the streaming platform has grown uneasy after the outrage that erupted after the releases of Mirzapur 2 and Tandav. They believe the atmosphere at present isn’t conducive for the release of a show as big as The Family Man.
The Manoj Bajpayee-starrer was voted the best Indian web series in a readers’ poll conducted by BookMyShow Buzz. The series centers around Srikant Tiwari (Bajpayee) who leads a double life. To his wife and kids, he is a middle-class, overworked government employee. But in reality he is a world class spy who works towards countering terror threats on India. Besides a compelling espionage plot, the show also packs plenty of humour and light moments which have made it a hit with the audience.
