He can fly, slay demons, lift mountains and burn down cities. Kids are in for a treat as Disney+ Hotstar is bringing an animated series on India’s original superhero, Mahabali Hanuman.
While many films and television shows have been made in the past about Hanuman’s acts of bravery in Indian mythology, not many know about his journey of self-discovery. The Legend of Hanuman is a 13-episode series that traces the story of a humble vaanara (monkey) who forgot about his divinity, and how the people around him helped him discover the god within him. Sharad Kelkar has lent his voice as the sutradhar or narrator for the series.
The Legend of Hanuman will stream on Disney+ Hotstar from Friday, January 29. The show will be available in seven languages: Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Marathi, Bengali, Malayalam and Kannada.
