Disney+ Hotstar’s The Mandalorian follows the titular Mandalorian bounty hunter as he finds a Force-sensitive baby of the same species as Jedi Master Yoda. Mando is tasked by his guild to return the Child to his kind, the Jedi. This quest is the central plot of The Mandalorian season two. Throughout the latest set of episodes, Mando and the Child meet new and old faces, some of whom aid them against the many obstacles along the way.
Director Robert Rodriguez recently tweeted a behind the scenes video of himself jamming with Baby Yoda.
Here’s a Christmas present to all those who asked me what it’s like to hang out with Baby Yoda on the set of #TheMandalorian #TheTragedy. Check out #DisneyGallery for more behind the scenes! pic.twitter.com/6ShINBxJAN

Besides the fact that it’s adorable, what makes this video truly interesting is that it’s shot before the scene in which The Child is taken by Dark Troopers. An actor in the background is wearing the Dark Trooper armour. In the sixth episode of the second season entitled ‘The Tragedy’, these troopers were sent by Moff Gideon to Tython to kidnap the Force-sensitive Child and take advantage of his power. These on-set antics, however do mitigate the gut punch of seeing Baby Yoda taken by the bad guys.
