Did you know that The Office‘s series finale, which aired in 2013, almost had a different opening scene? Jim (John Krasinski) and Pam (Jenna Fischer) played a prank on Dwight (Rainn Wilson), tricking him into thinking he’s inside The Matrix, depicted in the Wachowski siblings’ 1999 sci-fi classic film. Those who saw footage of the cast’s table read for the finale saw the actors walk through the scene, but it was cut from the final episode. However, NBC has officially released the previously unseen opening.
