Dexter season nine has officially begun filming in Sturbridge, Massachusetts, and production is scheduled to take place this week in and around a series of abandoned mines (via The Telegram & Gazette). Produced with the working title “Marble” to keep prying eyes away, Dexter will be filmed at Tantiusques, a Trustees of Reservations property that was once the site of New England’s first graphite mines. Dexter season nine will also be filmed in Sterling, Lancaster and West Boylston.
This is clearly far from the original setting of Miami, Florida in show’s original run. Dexter season nine has kept major plot details under wraps. However we do know that the series stars Michael Cyril Creighton as Fred Jr., the owner of Fred’s Fish & Game, Julia Jones as Angela Bishop, the Chief of Police and Clancy Brown as Kurt Caldwell, the series’ main antagonist. Michael C. Hall (Dexter) is the only actor from the original cast set to appear in the new set of episodes.
