Simbu’s next high profile flick is already in the works and is titled Pathu Thala. It marks the reunion of director Krishna’s Sillunu Oru Kadhal team, prolific composer AR Rahman and the Studio Green banner. The makers recently unveiled the first look of the movie which is one of the most anticipated movies ever since its announcement. It is a Tamil remake of the Kannada super hit movie Mufti.

A host of popular actors form this slick gangster flick

Simbu will be playing the role of a gangster in Pathu Thala which is set to be a neo-noir gangster thriller while Gautham Karthik will be seen in the role of a police officer. Popular character actor Kalaiarasan will be seen in an important role in the film as well while Priya Bhavani Sankar is expected to play the female lead. Popular singer and musician Teejay Arunachalam who became a household name after his role in Dhanush’s Asuran,will also feature in the cast. This also marks the teaming up of the director and composer AR Rahman after 14 years.

AR Rahman had released the first look of the movie. To celebrate the occasion, the team has come out with a thanksgiving video with celebs like Mani Ratnam, MSV, Bharathiraja, Vairamuthu, Rajinikanth, among others talking about the maestro and his music.
