Life Beyond Earth has always been a topic of discussion among the nerds. About the possibilities, paradoxes and permutations. This is the topic our film makers have always felt fascinated towards. We, as lay people, have never seen space and it is only through the films based on time travel, space and aliens that we get the glimpse of what outer space might look like. Hollywood film makers especially have gotten smitten by this bug of space travel theme and almost every year we get one or two great movies made on this theme.

Now when the astronomers have discovered seven Earth-size planets orbiting a single nearby star — and these new worlds could hold life, let's look at 5 best movies ever made on Space Travel theme.
