1. Comedy
For the theatre audience of Chennai, Crazy Mohan doesn't need an introduction. The funny man is back with his famous and one of the most popular plays, 'Return of Crazy Thieves' this Saturday at Narada Gana Sabha auditorium. This comedy play has made a history by completing 150 shows in just 120 days. Don't miss it this time, if you haven't yet got a chance to watch it.

2. Drama
Storm Still directed by Tanaji Dasgupta and Varun Kishore is an English adaptation of a Peter Handke's German work by the same name. Happening at Goethe Institute this Sunday, its a play about a dream, a rant, a string of memories about life & death, war & peace and family & roots, accompanied by wonderful music. It's a well acclaimed play not just in India but overseas as well. If you love drama, this is a must-watch play for you.

3. Satire
A satire on society's regressive approach to mental illness, Crea-Shakthi team presents Kirukku Nagaram Express at Sri Sankara Hall this Saturday and Sunday. It's a one-hour musical journey creating awareness about mental health and how society's labelling and stigma make it difficult for people with mental illness come forward.

4. Mythological Tamil Drama
If mythological dramas interest you, you should definitely watch Karnan, to be staged at Vani Mahal on July 30th . Karnan is a Tamil mythological epic drama, based on the story of Karna from Mahabharta. The play features an ensemble cast that includes Prakash Kutty (Karnan), Natana Sabapathy (Dhuriyodhanan), Jagadeesan (Sakuni), Raghavan (Krishnan), Parimalam (Kundhi Devi) and many more.

5. English Adaptation
There's another play in the upcoming week which is an English adaptation of very famous R.K. Narayan short stories that you would be interested in. Based on the stories of R.K. Narayan, this play is called 'A Journey into Malgudi'. Come and experience the life and times of Malgudi at Museum theatre!
