Despite the success of Ishaqzaade, the pair Arjun Kapoor and Parineeti Chopra did not get to work together for a long five years. But in recent updates, both the actors have been roped in for the Namastey franchise along with the director Vipul Shah. The latter has been quite keen and excited about taking up the success of the Katrina Kaif and Akshay Kumar starrer Namastey London which was released back in 2007. Though there were speculations that Akshay might do the sequel of this family drama, but they all are put to rest with this update.

After it was confirmed that the pair will be coming together for Yash Raj Films’ Dibakar Banerjee directorial ‘Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar’, they will be seen in this one too, stepping in the shoes of Akshay-Katrina. The director unveiled the title to be Namastey Canada and has told everyone that it’s not a sequel to Namastey London. He is clearly excited to work with the young and energetic pair and is quite grateful to Akshay for lending the name.

Both the actors have worked hard in the recent year and have made their own fan bases. Arjun Kapoor has done some good movies like Half Girlfriend, 2 States, and Gunday and is coming with this comedy drama along with Ileana D’Cruz in Mubarakan. Whereas Parineeti has done some good movies like Hasee Toh Phasee, Meri Pyari Bindu and Kill Dill. She will be seen next in Golmaal franchise alongside Ajay Devgn and Arshad Warsi.

No matter what the past records say about the lead pair, Vipul Shah has worked with big actors like Amitabh Bachchan and Akshay Kumar in the past and definitely knows how to bring out the stars' best performances. The fans can rejoice as this is going to be a full family comedy drama and can prove to be the best of the lead actors' careers. Stay tuned for more as the plot of the movie unfolds and brings all the interesting things to our notice.

Arjun-Parineeti come together for Vipul Shah’s next Namastey Canada which will not be a sequel to Akshay-Katrina’s Namastey London which came out in 2007.
