Since its inception in 2010, the Canvas Laugh Club has been a safe space for stand-ups and newbies to come and perform without any inhibitions. It has now blossomed into a full-fledged performance venue for all kinds of artists be it theatre performers or stand-ups. A little bit about the comedians below.
Gaurav Kapoor is a Delhite who shifted to Mumbai about three years ago and works as a corporate exec by day and performs comedy by night. NDTV has recently covered him as a rising star of comedy and he talks about everything from corporate culture, Bollywood, childhood, ethnicities, weddings and oddly enough Royal Enfield owners.
Vaibhav Sethia is not your typical Marvadi, he quit his high paying job and decided to do comedy. Most of his jokes are renderings of what he calls ‘bookmark moments’ from his life, which includes five years of architecture in an IIT, the seven jobs that he quit in a span of two years and more.
Chirayu Mistry is quite like every other engineer looking to be something other than that. His stand- up comedy is based on daily observations as well as one’s daily frustrations and anger. He also aspires to become a chef someday.
Siddharth Dudeja is a comedian who has performed at most major festivals and often talks about how school and vegetarians ruined his childhood and also talks about world peace.
Neville Barucha also known as Mr. South Bombay, is a stand-up comedian that always hits his punch lines and jokes about single-handedly replenishing the Parsi race. Watch him act out, live.
So, take an instant vacation and move away from the humdrum of daily-life and enjoy these hilarious stand-ups live at The Canvas Laugh Club.
