We just can’t contain our excitement as the greatest band ever, Coldplay, is coming to India in November, and this time for an actual concert! Unlike the last two occasions, when the Band visited the country in September last year to shoot for their video “Hymn For the Weekend” and later in June this year when Chris Martin played an impromptu gig in a cafe in Delhi, this time Chris Martin and his pals will finally grace India for a concert on the 19 th of November at MMRDA Grounds, Mumbai. So if you are also amongst those Coldplay fans who got depressed after missing their unscheduled appearances in June and September, this is a chance to make up for that!

The music concert is a part of a charity’s annual fund-raising event, organized by the Global Poverty project, headed by Chris Martin himself. Apparently The Global Poverty Project is believed to be the very reason behind band’s surprise visit to Mumbai and New Delhi last year. Ever since the release of their latest studio album “A Head Full of Dreams”, Coldplay has been the buzz word across India. The album is bursting with energy, colour and big, life-affirming moments and songs which include the deliciously ebullient first single “Adventure Of A Lifetime” and the rocket-powered “Hymn For The Weekend”.

A Head Full of Dreams Stadium Tour is the seventh tour being undertaken by the British Alternative band, Coldplay, after their low-key Ghost Stories Tour. This tour will visit stadiums and arenas across three continents (and luckily in Asia, it’s India they will be visiting!) with a total of 60 shows in support of their latest album, A Head Full of Dreams. The first show of the tour was held in Argentina on 31 st of March this year.

Last time, when Coldplay visited India for the video shoot of their song, Hymns for the Weekend, they expressed their interest to perform here. Chris Martin in fact dropped a hint that they loved the country and will be returning soon with a full blown concert. Ever since, the fans have just been waiting for an official announcement. Now that the news is confirmed and this is actually happening, its time to fix those broken hearts. The band, which boasts of a loyal set of fans in India is soon going to be performing on the Indian turf.
