Enjoy The Best of Culture And Music at The Palava Tarang Festival

A two-day festival of music, theatre, dance and much more that is sure to enthral one and all is set to take place at the Palava city township. Tarang is in its third year and will showcase the best of Indian fusion and folk music, as well as theatre. It will be hosted at the Lakeside Park in Palava.

The Tarang festival will take place on the 13th and 14th of January with spectacular performances by independent singer songwriter Jasleen Royal, neo-rock band Kabir Café, Bollywood hits by playback singer Siddharth Mahadevan and Indian fusion music by the Karsh Kale Collective.

The first day of the festival will have a Kids Carnival that is set to feature professional artist and TV personality Rob from the Do-It-Yourself Pogo Show M.A.D. who will conduct a live workshop with kids present at the event. Magician and illusionist Ugesh Sarcar will also perform at the event alongside a musical performance by independent singer song-writer Jasleen Royal who is also known for her Bollywood single Preet from the movie Khoobsurat.

While the first day will be centred around kids, day two of Tarang will be a musical special. Neo-Fusion Rock band Kabir Café will perform first. They are a Mumbai based band that brings to life the poetic works of Kabir infused with rock, pop, reggae and fusion music. They will be followed up by music from the playback singer Siddharth Mahadevan who has sung songs for movies such as Bhaag Milkha Bhaag, Dhoom 3 and others. The final performance would be that of the Karsh Kale Collective which is the live band of American DJ, musician and record producer Karsh Kale.
